DESCRIPTION:Modern wireless systems require compact antennas with multiband
\, MIMO\, and frequency-reconfigurable capabilities. This talk presents ou
r recent work on SIW-based reconfigurable multiband\, MIMO\, and multiband
-MIMO antennas for multifunctional wireless applications.\n\nThe proposed
SIW cavity-based architectures enable independent reconfiguration of indiv
idual frequency bands without significantly affecting the others. Reconfig
uration is achieved through radiating-element parameter control or by inte
grating micropockets within the SIW substrate\, which can be filled with d
ielectric materials of different electromagnetic properties. These approac
hes provide flexible frequency tuning while maintaining a compact antenna
footprint.\n\nThe talk will cover the complete design-to-realization workf
low\, including HFSS/CST-based electromagnetic design\, ADS equivalent-cir
cuit modelling\, fabrication\, and experimental validation using VNA and a
nechoic-chamber facilities at the CESD RF & Microwave Laboratory\, SRM IST
. The presented developments demonstrate the potential of SIW technology f
or compact\, flexible\, and application-oriented reconfigurable antenna sy
stems.\n\nCo-sponsored by: AGH University of Krakow\, Poland\n\nSpeaker(s)
