DESCRIPTION:The IEEE MTT-S Student Chapter at the University of Campinas (U
NICAMP) and Professional Chapter South Brazil\, in collaboration with the
CTI Renato Archer\, is pleased to announce the IEEE MTT-S Circular Economy
Day!\, an event dedicated to discussing sustainability\, circular economy
\, and emerging technologies in microwave engineering and electronics.\n\n
As part of the event\, we are honored to welcome Prof. Mahmoud Wagih\, IEE
E Distinguished Microwave Lecturer\, for the lecture:\n\n“Making Microwa
ves Green: From Life Cycle Assessments to Chipless Sensing Solutions”\n\
nThe activity will bring together undergraduate and graduate students\, re
searchers\, engineers\, and professionals interested in sustainable electr
onics\, microwave technologies\, circular economy\, and innovative approac
hes to the development and lifecycle of electronic systems.\n\nThe program
will include institutional presentations and a brief introduction to the
IEEE and IEEE MTT-S community\, followed by Prof. Wagih’s Distinguished
Microwave Lecturer presentation\, which will serve as the main technical c
ontribution and closing activity of the workshop.\n\nFollowing the lecture
\, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and tec
hnical interactions\, including visits to research and technological facil
ities connected with circular economy and advanced electronics. Among the
activities being organized is a visit to the Rematronic Laboratory\, focus
ed on the recovery of valuable metals from electronic circuit boards throu
gh biohydrometallurgical processes.\n\nThe event represents an opportunity
to strengthen connections between academia\, research institutions\, indu
stry\, and the IEEE community\, promoting knowledge exchange and new colla
borations around sustainable and responsible technological development.\n\
nWe warmly invite students\, researchers\, professionals\, and members of
the IEEE community to participate in this special IEEE MTT-S activity.\n\n
