DESCRIPTION:RESCHEDULED from JULY 28\n\n“Preparing for 100% Clean and Ren
ewable Energy Systems”\n\nwith Dr Ahmed Mousa\, Chief Innovation Officer
  for Galileo Group\, Inc.\n\nDate/Time: Tuesday\, September 22\, 6pm – 7
pm Pacific Time\n\nAbstract:\n\nThis talk will outline the characteristic
s of 100% clean and renewable energy systems\, and how we can prepare for
them\, considering the guidelines of IEEE Planet Positive. Utilities must
supply critical leadership in addressing climate change\, sustainability\,
socioeconomic issues\, and environmental stewardship. The transition to a
sustainable future requires balancing today’s short-term needs with fut
ure planning for 100% clean and renewable energy systems. Issues include g
lobal collaboration\, the role of inverter-based resources\, climate chang
e mitigation\, large load vs. energy efficiency/load management and the fu
ture role of energy control centers. Supporting equity and inclusion manda
tes planning for rural electrification and for providing affordable power
 to disadvantaged communities.\n\nSpeaker(s): Ahmed Mousa\, \n\nAgenda: \n6
