DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville\, AL Chapter of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compati
bility (EMC) Society invites you to participate in a Technical Meeting on
September 17\, 2026\, featuring a talk given by Dr. Charles Jullien\, an I
EEE EMC DL. The program will begin at 5:30 pm with Mr. Doug Freeman of Roh
de & Schwarz sponsoring a free meal. Dr. Jullien’s technical presentatio
n will begin at approximately 6:20 pm after some short chapter status upda
tes.\n\nMeal – BBQ\n\nPulled Pork\, BBQ Chicken\, Potato Salad\, Baked B
eans\, Cole Slaw\, Buns\, Banana Pudding\, Sweet/Un-Sweet Tea\, and Water\
n\nCo-sponsored by: Meal Sponsor: Doug Freeman\, Rohde & Schwarz\n\nSpeake
r(s): Dr. Charles Jullian\n\nAgenda: \n[]“Modeling Transmission Lines Ba
sed on Electromagnetic Topology”\n\nSynopsis:\n\nThis presentation focus
es on the analysis of transmission lines using the Electromagnetic Topolog
y (EMT) method introduced by Carl Baum. After a review of the fundamental
principles of the Topological Line Method (TLM)\, the talk will demonstrat
e how this approach allows the decomposition of a complex system into topo
logical networks\, thereby facilitating the analysis of electromagnetic in
teractions. We will outline the main steps involved in the resolution of t
hese topological networks\, highlighting the tools available for their mod
eling and parameterization.\n\nConcrete examples will illustrate the appli
cation of this method: the impact of shielding connections on EMC performa
nce\, crosstalk within a complex harness\, and the interactions between a
high-voltage (HV) system and a data transmission harness. Finally\, the pr
esentation will explore more advanced applications of electromagnetic topo
logy\, such as health monitoring and the modeling of electrical arcs\, dem
onstrating the versatility and relevance of this approach in addressing to
day’s industrial challenges.\n\nRoom: FountainView\, Bldg: East Tower\,
