DESCRIPTION:DESIGN-X’26 – National Level 8-Hour Engineering Design Chal
 lenge is an intensive technical event organized by the Department of Mecha
 nical Engineering on 13 October 2026. The event provides engineering stude
 nts with a platform to demonstrate their technical knowledge\, engineering
  design skills\, innovative thinking\, and creative problem-solving abilit
 ies through a real-time engineering design challenge.\n\nThe challenge enc
 ourages participants to identify and analyse real-world engineering proble
 ms and develop innovative\, feasible\, user-centred\, and sustainable desi
 gn solutions. Participants will apply interdisciplinary engineering knowle
 dge\, modern design tools\, and design-thinking approaches while consideri
 ng important aspects such as feasibility\, safety\, sustainability\, and s
 ocietal requirements.\n\nThe event also focuses on developing creativity\,
  innovation\, problem-solving\, teamwork\, technical communication\, and t
 ime-management skills. By working within a defined eight-hour timeframe\, 
 participants will gain practical experience in converting engineering conc
 epts into effective design solutions and communicating their ideas through
  collaborative teamwork.\n\nThe event is open to II\, III and IV Year Mech
 anical Engineering students as well as outside participants\, with approxi
 mately 100 participants expected. The resource person is Mr. Karthikeyan M
