DESCRIPTION:VOLTA 2027 (Visionary Olympiad for Literacy in Technology and A
pplication) is a pre-university STEM competition and technology literacy p
rogram organized by IEEE Student Branch Udayana University (STB17451) in c
ollaboration with the Electrical Engineering Undergraduate Study Program\,
  Faculty of Engineering\, Universitas Udayana\, Bali\, Indonesia.\n\nThe p
rogram introduces high school students (SMA/SMK) across Bali to hands-on c
ommunications engineering and IoT technology through three parallel compet
ition tracks:\n\n- Category A — Smart Energy Monitor: Participants build
a real-time\nenergy monitoring system using microcontrollers and current/
 power\nsensors with wireless notification capability.\n\n- Category B —
Smart Sensing Network (IoT): Participants design and\ndeploy a multi-senso
 r IoT system transmitting live data to a cloud\ndashboard via WiFi.\n\n- C
 ategory C — Long-Range Communicator (LoRa): Participants build a\ntwo-no
de wireless communication system using LoRa (SX1278\, 433 MHz)\ncapable of
transmitting sensor data over a minimum distance of 50\nmeters without in
 ternet.\n\nPrior to VOLTA Day\, all 30 registered teams (from 16 partner s
chools) receive structured online mentoring over 4–6 weeks\, guided by E
lectrical\nEngineering faculty and IEEE SB Udayana student volunteers. A o
ne-day teacher workshop is also conducted to equip school mentors with fou
ndational knowledge in IoT and wireless communication technologies.\n\nVOL
TA 2027 contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 12 (Responsible C
