DESCRIPTION:As a part of Tech Mavens\, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) orga
nized “Cards of Code”\, an engaging coding competition designed exclus
ively for 1st-year students. The event aimed to test and enhance participa
nts’ programming skills\, logical thinking\, problem-solving abilities\,
and decision-making under time constraints. The unique multi-round format
combined technical quizzes\, competitive programming\, and QR-based codin
g challenges to create an interactive and challenging experience.\n\nCompe
tition Structure\n\nRound 1: Wayground Quiz\n\nThe competition commenced w
ith a Wayground-based technical quiz designed to assess participants’ fu
ndamental programming concepts\, logical reasoning\, and technical knowled
ge. Based on their performance in this round\, the qualifying teams advanc
ed to the next stage of the competition.\n\nRound 2: HackerRank Coding Cha
llenge\n\nThe second round was conducted on HackerRank\, where participant
s were required to solve programming problems within a specified time limi
t. This round focused on testing their coding proficiency\, problem-solvin
g approach\, logical thinking\, and ability to implement efficient solutio
ns.\n\nRound 3: QR-Based Coding Challenge\n\nThe final round introduced an
interactive QR-based coding challenge. Participants scanned QR codes to a
ccess coding problems of varying difficulty levels and were required to so
lve them within the given time. The round added an element of strategy\, q
uick decision-making\, and adaptability\, making the competition both tech
nically challenging and engaging.\n\nThrough its three-round format\, Card
s of Code provided students with a platform to apply their programming kno
wledge in a competitive environment while encouraging collaboration\, crea
tivity\, logical reasoning\, and technical skill development.\n\nAgenda: \
n- Welcome & Event Introduction – Brief introduction to Cards of Code an
d its objectives.\n- Rules & Guidelines – Explanation of the event forma
t\, rules\, and evaluation criteria.\n- Coding Challenge – Participants
solve programming and problem-solving challenges.\n- Evaluation & Verifica
tion – Assessment of submissions based on correctness and performance.\n
- Results & Recognition – Announcement of results and recognition of out
standing participants.\n\nRoom: Computer Lab - 9\, Bldg: Academic Block\,
