DESCRIPTION:Title: Processing-in-Sensor: Circuit Techniques for Intelligent
  and Energy-Efficient Vision\nDate and time: 27 October\, 10:30 AM\nLocati
on: TU Delft EWI Elektron HB01.230\n\nAbstract\nProcessing-in-Sensor (PIS)
integrates feature extraction and early processing directly within image
sensors to reduce data bandwidth\, power consumption\, and latency. This l
ecture surveys PIS architectures from in-pixel to in-column and near-senso
r processing\, and discusses spatial- and temporal-domain feature extracti
on from a circuit design perspective. The talk highlights how mixed-signal
in-sensor computing enables always-on and energy-efficient intelligent vi
 sion systems.\n\nAbout the speaker\nChih-Cheng Hsieh received his B.S.\, M
.S.\, and Ph.D. degrees from National Chiao Tung University\, Taiwan. He i
s currently a Full Professor at National Tsing Hua University. His researc
h interests include intelligent CMOS image sensors\, processing-in-sensor
architectures\, and energy-efficient data converters. He has served on the
ISSCC and A-SSCC Technical Program Committees and is an IEEE SSCS Disting
 uished Lecturer.\n\nRoom: EWI Elektron HB01.230\, Delft\, Zuid-Holland\, N
