DESCRIPTION:Lecture Topic: RF System Engineering for Probing the Cosmic Ori
gins\n\nAbstract: This talk will provide a comprehensive introduction to k
ey terminologies in Radio Astronomy and precision Cosmology experiments\,
aiming to bridge the gap between engineering and science. It will then pre
sent an overview of three ongoing experiments at Raman Research Institute
aimed at detecting extremely faint cosmic signals to probe the evolution o
f the universe. Particular emphasis will be placed on the antenna and RF s
ystem-related challenges inherent in ground-based and space-based precisio
n cosmology experiments. The talk will also showcase recent developments a
t RRI in antenna design and high-sensitivity radiometer architectures that
are central to advancing these experiments.\n\nSpeaker(s): S. Keerthipri
