DESCRIPTION:In celebration of IEEE Day 2026 under the theme “Leveraging T
echnology for a Better Tomorrow”\, the IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapter
at Sichuan University (SBC41679601) will host a technical hands-on event
focused on Microwave Wireless Power Transfer (MWPT).\n\nMWPT converts micr
owave energy into usable electrical power without physical cables\, enabli
ng sustainable applications such as wireless sensor networks\, implantable
medical devices\, and space solar power. This event bridges theoretical k
nowledge with practical microwave engineering practice.\n\nThe session beg
ins with an introduction to MWPT fundamental principles\, followed by prof
essional microwave instrumentation operation training. Participants will t
hen observe a live MWPT demonstration and conduct group hands-on experimen
ts to build and test rectenna modules. The event concludes with a group ph
oto featuring the IEEE Day 2026 banner.\n\nAll participants will learn RF
measurement skills\, rectenna basics\, and explore how microwave technolog
y contributes to a sustainable future. IEEE members and non-members are al
l welcome. Free admission.\n\nOn-site promotion of IEEE MTT-S 75th anniver
sary membership offer (promo code MTTS75YEARS) will be provided for eligib
 le participants.\n\nSpeaker(s): Changjun Liu\, Liping Yan\n\nAgenda: \n14:
