DESCRIPTION:Magazine-style review and tutorial articles offer a powerful me
 dium for communicating research visions to a broad and interdisciplinary a
 udience. In this talk\, I reflect on my experience writing magazine-style 
 reviews and how this form of writing shaped my research narrative\, collab
 orations\, and group strategy. Writing for generalists pushed me to think 
 beyond narrow technical problems\, articulate long-term research direction
 s\, and frame my work within broader technological and societal contexts. 
 This process helped crystallise strategic research themes within my group 
 and guided the development of new research directions. Moreover\, making r
 esearch accessible to non-specialists fostered interdisciplinary collabora
 tions and industry engagement\, expanding the reach and relevance of my wo
 rk. I will share practical lessons on how magazine-style reviews can ampli
 fy research impact\, position researchers as thought leaders\, and shape c
 ommunity discourse. The talk concludes with actionable insights for early-
 career researchers on leveraging magazine-style writing to communicate vis
