DESCRIPTION:Organisations operating in multi-stakeholder environments incre
asingly require trusted\, verifiable data trails to support transparency\,
auditability\, compliance and collaboration. While blockchain technology
offers compelling capabilities in these settings\, translating its potenti
al into practical\, sustainable solutions presents significant technical\,
organisational and institutional challenges\, including limited technical
capacity\, stakeholder buy-in\, coordination and implementation costs. Dr
awing on lessons from real-world implementations\, this talk explores prag
matic architectural approaches and design principles\, including API-first
integration\, complementing rather than replacing existing systems\, and
navigating trade-offs between decentralisation\, trust assumptions and ope
rational realities. The discussion also considers broader questions of dat
a sovereignty\, interoperability and digital public infrastructure\, highl
ighting the opportunities and constraints of deploying blockchain solution
 s in emerging-market contexts.\n\nSpeaker(s): Julian Kanjere\, \n\nVirtual
