DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Prof. Phone Lin\, IEEE Fellow，National Taiwan Univer
 sity\n\nTime: November 4\, 2026\, 20:00 (Beijing time)\n\nZoom: https://un
sw.zoom.us/j/84840084069\n\nAbstract: Anomaly detection and prediction typ
ically require extensive\ndomain knowledge to develop tools capable of aut
omatically identifying or\nforecasting anomalous events or behaviors in Io
T systems. These\nsystems-particularly those within Public Transportation
 Networks-often\nconsist of devices with diverse capabilities\, functions\,
and operational\nlifespans\, making the detection of rare anomalies espec
ially challenging.\nMoreover\, establishing domain expertise and collectin
g a sufficient number\nof data points for anomaly detection is frequently
timeconsuming and costly.\n\nBio: Phone Lin (Fellow\, IEEE) received the B
.S. and Ph.D.\ndegrees in computer science and information engineering fro
 m National Chiao\nTung University\, Hsinchu\, Taiwan\, in 1996 and 2001\,
respectively. He is a\nProfessor with National Taiwan University\, Taipei\
, Taiwan\, holding a\nprofessorship within the Department of Computer Scie
nce and Information\nEngineering\, Graduate Institute of Biomedical Electr
onics and\nBioinformatics\, and Internet of Things Research Center\, Colle
ge of EECS\, and\nGraduate Institute of Medical Device and Imaging of Coll
ege of Medicine. Dr.\nLin was a recipient of many prestigious research awa
rds\, such as the\nOutstanding Research Award\, Ministry of Science and Te
chnology\, Taiwan\, in\n2016\, and the Best Young Researcher of IEEE ComSo
c Asia-Pacific Young\nResearcher Award in 2007. He was the Chair of IEEE V
