DESCRIPTION:The energy management system (EMS) has been used by power syste
m operators to monitor\, control and optimize the generation and/or transm
ission systems. However\, the increasing penetration level of renewable en
ergy\, such as wind power\, solar power\, etc.\, requests the EMS to incor
porate the intermittency characteristics of renewable energy. The seminar
on intelligent power system management has been established to provide mem
bers of IEEE in Denmark and other interested parties to get acquainted wit
h the ongoing work on EMS. The IEEE Power and Energy Danish Chapter has su
cceeded in getting three professors from Tsinghua University to give a num
ber of presentations on EMS\, DMS and automatic voltage control and one pr
esentation from DTU-CET. The Distinguished Lecturer (DL) covers current an
d future standards on: • Future Smart Grid EMS Development. •
Distribution System Automation and Energy Management——Operat
ion Optimization and Self-healing • Automatic Voltage Control and it
s Applications in China • Multi-Agent based Controller for Active Di
stribution Networks\n\nCo-sponsored by: CET - DTU Elektro\n\nLyngby\, Kobe
