The webinar aims to shed light on the vital role of bioenergy in the context of cooking, addressing its significance, applications, and potential contributions to sustainable energy practices. Bioenergy, derived from renewable biomass resources, has emerged as a promising alternative to traditional cooking fuels, offering environmentally friendly and efficient solutions to meet cooking needs.
The event will be expertly facilitated by Ing. Rejoice Ntiriwaa, a distinguished specialist from Cape Coast Technical University, whose expertise in bioenergy technologies and sustainable practices will provide valuable insights to attendees.

Biography:
Rejoice is a researcher who focuses on environmentally friendly engineering approaches to solve societal problems by advocating for access to clean energy for all.
Her research examines the interlinkages between clean energy access, environmental governance, and climate change. She leaves the confines of the classroom on a regular basis to educate women, especially rural women within small-scale food processing enterprises about the importance of MECS and its role in the overall energy transition.
She believes that girls and women have a great potential to contribute their talents and expertise towards sustainable future. Therefore, she volunteers with UNESCO and WomEng as an ambassador for 1milliongirlsinSTEM global Initiative to empower young girls within STEM education and career. She also serves as the vice Chairperson for STEM and Engineering education for the Ghana Institution of Engineering within the Central, Western and Western North Regions of Ghana.
Rejoice is a professional engineer at the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE). She is also a member of the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (WiSTEM), Ghana, Internal Association of Engineers (IAENG), and Global Women's Network for Energy transition (GWNET).
