In June 2014 at the Zurich Airport in the former control tower a new chapter the Swiss Aerospace Electronic System AES-CH was founded.
The elected chair is Heinz Wipf and the the vice-chair L. Quiriconi. The chair and the vice-chair received unanimously all votes of the members present. Out of the 29 registered AESS members 8 where present including 3 new members. The AES-CH organizes and supports technical and networking events. This includes two meetings in Switzerland, in the form of lectures or workshops on topics related to aerospace and electronic systems. Depending the nature of the event joint lectures with partner organizations will be promoted. The chapter also favors links to industry and academia to strengthen the exchange across the aerospace field in Switzerland. If possible also space aspects should find considerable attention.
