Thursday, August 23, 2018 8:00AM to 3:00PM

Austin Scottish Rite Theater

207 W. 18th Street, Austin, TX  78701

Early registration and discounted pricing ends on August 8th.

Registration and payment for this workshop must be completed by Tuesday 8/21/2018 to ensure you will have the class materials for the workshop.

Tuesday 8/21/2018 is the final day for on-line registering.  At the door reginstration shall be with check or cash only.

IEEE 1547 standard has gone through a major revision to address some of the technical issues associated with the high penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and associated grid support functionalities due to the increasing DER interconnections with electric power systems. The participants will learn about major changes in IEEE 1547-2018 standard, including voltage regulation, response to abnormal system conditions, voltage ride-through, frequency ride-through, power quality, islanding, interoperability and the like. The participants will also learn about utility concerns/solutions with respect to adopting the revised IEEE 1547 standard.  Attendees will receive a certificate for 4.0 PDH hours.

This is a “must-attend” event for electrical engineers at utility companies involved with grid interconnection, electrical engineers engaged in the design of grid interconnected equipment, and electrical engineers involved with the design and installation of grid interconnected systems!

Vendor Registration includes:

  • 2.5’ x 6’ Table or Equivalent Space, available to attendees before and after the workshop as well as during breaks and lunch
  • 5 Minute Introduction/Presentation to all attendees at the beginning of the workshop
  • Inclusion of Vendor Collateral on Workshop USB Flash Drive
  • One Full Attendee Registration
