Event Details

One of the great illusions of the digital age is that financial transactions and supply chains are able to take place and be tracked in real-time. In reality, while a million wire transfers shoot back and forth between two banks in the course of a day, the money itself moves only in single massive net transfers. Invoices take weeks to process. Shipment and supply chain tracking is notoriously unreliable. We live and work in an ocean of old data. That's about to change with blockchain, which makes possible transactions that are truly real-time, personalized, and cryptographically secure. In this talk, LedgerDomain CEO Ben Taylor walks you through some of the exciting use cases for enterprise blockchain – from banks to pharmaceuticals to electronics – and gives you a look at a running enterprise-level blockchain console.

Speaker Bio

Ben Taylor is the founder and CEO of blockchain company LedgerDomain. A double MIT graduate (where he got his start on a PDP-10), Ben spent a quarter of a century in the trenches on Wall Street before striking out to change how global enterprise does business. LedgerDomain’s blockchain solutions help today’s leaders bring real-time, personalized, and secure transactions to their communities and industries.
