The mission of the trust is to create a replicable model of educating out of system - opportunity deprived children.
IEEE SJCE WIE has been conttributing in lending helping hands to Kaliyuva Mane i.e. Divya Deepa Charitable Trust since 3 years. The volunteers have been divivided into 2 batches of around 20 volunteers in each batch. Each batch has a visit every alternate weekend. In jaunuarybasic Kannada to English translation was taught to the children at the Trust.
Various sentence formation and language translation was taught to the children at Divya Deepa in Feb. Focus was paid on developing their English Vocabulary.
The usual visits to Divya Deepa were continued in March. The main objective was to improve their command over English Language and attention was given towards the pronunciation of English words. The volunteers also taught them basic tenses and help them frame sentences in a right manner. Apart from this, new words were taught to them to improve their vocabulary. Volunteers also helped children with mathematics and also demonstrated science models to explain them.
Volunteers also visited to Divya Deepa on weekly basis. Basic science terminologies in English were taught to the kids. Children at Divya Deepa were helped with their regular academic studies and taught basic mathematics concepts.
