This event is primary for new researchers (targeting first year PhD and MSc project students mainly), and it contains introduction/recruitment presentations of IEEE and CIGRE and how technical publications can help with research. One of the key things we would like to do is raise their awareness of the great resources that are not journal /conference publications but rather the IEC/IEEE stds and CIGRE technical brochures.  I hope this event can help students kick start their research effectively and lead them to understand more about both professional bodies and join as a member.
