Getting Our Way (It's Not All About Me)
IEEE vTools Event Information Link
Remember how fun group assignments were back in your school days? No? I don’t either. Other people were hard to work with, didn’t pull their weight or would only do things their way. I’m so glad I put that behind me when I graduated!
Oh wait. That’s every day at work now. Instead of being thrown in the deep end to sink or swim, don’t you wish you had been taught skills for working through conflict?
Then this workshop is for you! You’ll learn specific negotiation skills to help you collaborate with people, both at work and at home. Pairs of people who want different things or who think about things differently will practice skills together.
Bring your opinions and give it a try!
This workshop includes breakfast and lunch! Breakfast will be donuts and juice and coffee. Lunch will be catered from Jimmy Johns and include vegan and as well as a variety of sub types. It is hosted at the beautiful Bakken Museum in Minneapolis with free and convenient parking onsite.
Registration is $20 for general public or $10 for IEEE Members. Event is open to all! Registration is required as cost at the door will be $25! Click the "Register Now" button to book your seat!
