Local PES/IAS Chapter Meeting: IEC 61850 Protocol for Electrical Substations: What is it? Latest methods to test it
Many utilities are considering migrating their electric systems to the IEC 61850 protocol. With the adoption of this protocol, there needs to be new tools to test these electrical systems. This presentation will provide background on this topic, and the tailored for the local IEEE PES/IAS chapter.
This presentation will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center in downtown Raleigh. Will Knapek of Omicron will be our presenter, and will start at 6:30pm. You will have time before and after the presentation to network and tour the PAC World Exhibitors. When you arrive, let the PAC World staff know you are with the local IEEE chapter, and they will direct you.
Expect a fee to park in the convention center parking deck.
