Our September section meeting will feature Dr. Jenna Kloosterman, Assistant Professor of Engineering, University of Southern Indiana. She will discuss her research on the use of a spherical phased array in satellite communication.

Speakers
Dr. Jenna Kloosterman
Jenna Kloosterman received a B.A. degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004, and M.S. and PhD degrees in astronomy in 2010, and electrical and computer engineering in 2014, respectively, both from the University of Arizona. After graduating, she was awarded the NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. She continued working at JPL as a RF/Microwave Engineer from 2016-2017 before starting as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Indiana in the fall of 2017. Her research interests include THz technology development, heterodyne arrays, and microwave instruments for science and communication applications.
