WORKSHOP: Innovative Ways and Means to Support STEM Education
Short description:
This workshop is designed to help IEEE volunteers and practitioners in the teaching profession to promote, support and advance STEM education. The workshop has three components: an overview of current IEEE-led outreach programs nationally and internationally, a hand-on activity involving all workshop participants, and a panel discussion on practical aspects of STEM support. Hands-on Activity:
Lead by Murray MacDonald, this activity will involve all workshop participants in a very practical way by engaging them in one of the most popular and ‘hands-on’ TISP and tryengineering.org lesson plans.
