"Welcome to IEEE"
"Welcome to IEEE", an experience sharing session of the IEEE SYW Congress 2019 and an introduction to IEEE.
By this event, we hope to motivate new students to join our IEEE student branch and also encourage students to participate in IEEE national events such as the SYW Congress by which they can amass numerous valuable experiences and lessons for their personal and professional development.
 
The event will be held on Tuesday the 21st of January 2020 from 1.30 PM onwards in the CUL I, Department of Computer Science, University of Jaffna. We cordially invite interest students in the University of Jaffna.

Dilum De Silva Dilum De Silva

Dilum is a passionate tech enthusiast who is a final year undergraduate at Informatics Institute of Technology affiliated with the University of Westminster UK. Currently, he is working with GitHub Education as a GitHub Campus Expert for Sri Lanka. Dilum is one of the co-founders of the Colombo Flutter Community and currently serves as the community lead. Over the course of the past few years, he has exposed himself to various leadership and volunteering roles under student activities of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section and Region 10. His passion for tech has shoved Dilum to deliver tech-talks as a guest speaker for international and local tech events. Moreover, Dilum is one of the very few students at IIT who holds Prof. Andrew Linn and Dr. Peter Bonfield Student Volunteering Appreciation under the CSR category from the University of Westminster for the year 2017 and 2018.
