SkyTrain Operations and Maintenance Centre Tour
Attendees are welcomed to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE): safety shoes, safety vest and safety glasses. Open-toed and hi-heeled shoes are not permitted.
The IEEE SFU Student Branch, Young Professionals, and Circuits and Systems Society will be hosting a tour to the SkyTrain Operations and Maintenance Centre (OMC). The OMC has various maintenance systems including: compressed ari, vacuum, and grease systems wheel as well as wheel press and ovearhead cranes.
By SkyTrain:
Ride to Edmonds station (Fare Zone 2).
Walk around or through the BC Hydro office tower (lobby, cafeteria, and Starbucks counter open to the public during office hours).
Cross both Southport and 20th Street, and walk down the sidewalk parallel to the SkyTrain line, to the OMC guardhouse.
Register and follow directions to the OMC Reception.
Total walk distance approx. 970 metres, ~10 minutes.
By vehicle:

from Marine Way via Byrne Road, Southridge Drive, left on Griffiths, left on 14th Avenue.

from eastbound Rumble Street, right on 19th Street, right on 14th Avenue.
