Webinar on Managing the Future Grid – A Balancing Act Among RE, EV and ES.
Across the globe, emphasis on the reduction of the carbon footprint from electricity generation has resulted in higher and higher penetration of renewable energy (RE) into the grid. However, RE in the form of wind and solar has its own limitations for higher penetrations due to variability, uncertainties in forecasting and scheduling issues. The talk emphasis on how best the future grid can be managed and brings about the nexus between Renewable Energy (RE), Electric Storage (ES), and Electric Vehicle (EV).
IEEE NSU PES SBC in support of IEEE PES Bangladesh Chapter organized a virtual seminar on "Managing the Future Grid – A Balancing Act Among RE, EV and ES". Dr. R. Nagaraja SMIEEE, Founder and Managing Director, M/s. Power Research & Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India was the Honorable speaker of the webinar. Dr. R. Nagaraja is also the Chair of IEEE PES India Chapters Council. The session was held on August 9, 2020 and registration was free. Around 50 students from different institutes were attended the session. Prof. Shahidul I. Khan, Chair of the IEEE PES Bangladesh Chapter was attended the event and shared his thought.
