Power Talk: Power Sector of Bangladesh & Typical Thermal PP
IEEE Power & Energy Society AUST Student Branch Chapter organized a webinar titled as: "Power Talk - A Brief to Power Sector of Bangladesh & Overview of a Typical Thermal Power Plant", in association with IEEE AUST Student Branch and IEEE Power & Energy Society Bangladesh Chapter on August 13, 2020. Mr. Nadir Chowdhury, DGM (Operations) of Korean Electric Power Corporation and Summit Meghnaghat 335 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant was the keynote speaker of the event.
In the session, Mr. Nadir Chowdhury shared his expert insight on the amazing journey of electricity from the power plant to your doorstep, types of power plants, power generation capacity in Bangladesh, power generation cycle, power triangle, overview of a conventional thermal power plant and many more!
The webiner was open for all IEEE Members and non-IEEE members of AUST. The session was held in the Google Meet platform and there was no registration fee for the attendees. Around 80 participants from 115 registered members attended the event and made this an interactive session. The Chair and the Vice-Chair of IEEE PES BDC have attended the session.
