Remote AS9100 experience and lessons learned

Since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, AMETEK PDS has participated in both remote AS9100 Recertification and Surveillance audits.  These were performed by different registrars, and at different sites.  This presentation will highlight the challenges both the auditees and auditors encountered during these audits.  We at AMETEK PDS are taking these lessons learned to use as we move forward with remote audits of our supplier base, to optimize the information we obtain.   Attendees of this presentation will hopefully gain some useful perspective for any potential remote audits they may encounter or perform.

Biography:

Bob Lerner is currently Supplier QE at AMETEK PDS in Binghamton, New York.  Bob is also the internal audit coordinator and has passed AS9100 Lead Auditor Training – Probitas Authentication.  Bob has over 35 years of experience in Quality engineering in areas of Supplier, Product, Process and Customer Quality, as well as Lean and Black Belt Continuous Improvement projects.  Bob’s experience in QMS systems and audits includes ISO9000, AS9100, and ISO13485.  Bob holds the following ASQ certifications: Quality Engineering, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence.
