The Life of a Consultant
This webinar will cover issues a person faces while on their way to becoming a consultant. Attendees will see what it's like to go from employee to contractor to consultant. The session will also cover “how do you start” consulting, addressing issues such as: budgeting; business forms; legalities of consulting; and differentiating the costs of doing business between personal and business. The webinar will also address issues, such as location, professionalism and referrals.

Biography:
Larry Nelson, Sr., P.E., is an IEEE Senior Member. He is a board member of the AICN (Alliance of IEEE Consultants Networks) and has been a consultant since 1980. Larry works as a Staff Engineer, a Consultant, an Expert Witness, and a Technical Trainer. He has publications and Patents and is listed as a consultant with Microchip, Parallax, DigiKey, and The Hardware Academy. He specializes in analog and digital electronics along with embedded firmware. He has worked on new product design as well as forensics analysis of failed electronics in many industries.
