This is Part 2 of the crash course on AI/ML and Deep Learning.The talk will review the basics from Part 1 and the steps required to train and deploy neural networks and AI/ML models. We will show how to get started with a hands-on example of implementing a deep learning model for image classification using freely available resources.
Biography: Arun Shroff
Arun Shroff is a serial tech entrepreneur, and is currently founder & CEO of Xtend.AI, a startup using AI to tackle challenges in various domains including health, IT and business. Their first product is using AI for medical diagnostics and early detection of diabetic retinopathy. He is also a co-founder of MedIndia.net, a leading website for health information and applications. In addition, Arun is a topic lead at the Focus Group on AI for Health, a WHO/ITU initiative for benchmarking AI applications in health. He is on the advisory boards of multiple startups and nonprofits, and has been an invited speaker at the UN's AI for Good summit, at ITU/WHO, Rutgers, NJIT and TiE. Arun has a B.Tech from IIT Madras, MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, M.S. in Computer Science from Penn State University and certifications in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI for Medicine.
