October 2021 Mobile Section ExCom Meeting

Members present: Y. El-Sharkh, J. Magnin, S. Latif, E. Spencer, D. Touma, M. Shaban

The meeting was called to order at 12 PM.

Meeting minutes:

• Preparation of a response to the IEEE R3 Request for information regarding the IEEE Mobile Section to be used on the IEEE Mobile Section website.
• Discussion of potential future activities including technical meetings, students’ contests, and most importantly the 2022 IEEE SouthEastCon that is planned to be held in Mobile during the period from March 30^th to April 3^rd, 2022.
• Discussion of possible announcements for vacant IEEE officer positions based on the financial situation of the section.
• As of 10/26/2021, the Mobile Section CB account balance is: $12,113.98. There were some expenses for IEEE Technical and ExCom meetings in September 2021.
• Dr. Touma has prepared the IEEE student branch annual plan (attached).
