Early Apple Anecdotes

More about Early Apple Anecdotes: Daniel Kottke has the unique distinction of being the only person who worked on the Apple-1, Apple-II, Apple-III and Macintosh at Apple. In this talk, he will discuss the features that made each of these earliest Apple computers unique, along with anecdotes about their development. He will also discuss his work in building Apple-1 replicas, which started in 2016, and which is aimed at providing the Apple-1 experience with BASIC for schools and museums.

Speaker BioDaniel Kottke worked on the Apple-1 in Steve Jobs' garage in 1976, and then full time on the Apple-II, Apple-III and Macintosh at Apple in 1977-1984. He has been involved with a dozen startups during his career, including Vertical Networks, Silicon Gaming, General Magic, fastmovie.tv and Greenleaf Medical Systems. His current pursuits include smart-home integration for multi-tenant/co-living, and a real estate development in East Palo Alto.
