Bob McFetridge of Beckwith Electric

Topic:

Voltage Regulation of the Distribution Grid

Biography:

Bob McFetridge has over 30 years’ experience serving the electric utility industry. He started his career with Dominion Energy and Southern Company in the areas of SCADA and substation commissioning and testing. Bob then transitioned to work with several vendors in the areas of substation automation, distribution automation, power quality, system protection and for the last 10-12 years has specialized in the area of distribution voltage regulation. For the last 5 years he has focused on how the addition of distribution connected solar and wind impacts power quality and voltage regulation. Bob is currently an Applications Engineer for Beckwith Electric (a Hubbell Utility Automation Solutions company) supporting the Northeastern US and Canada.

Agenda

This will be an approximately 1-hour presentation, followed by a Q&A session and a brief quiz for PDH credit. A one-hour PDH certificate will be offered for this seminar. Completion of the quiz will be required to receive a PDH certificate.

Participants have an opportunity to earn a one-hour PDH certificate from the IEEE PES/IAS Kansas City Chapter if requested. If a PDH certificate is desired, please select the appropriate option when registering.
