IEEE Day 2025 - Technical Talk on Building Scalable Applications
As part of the IEEE Day Celebrations 2025, the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, JSS University, Noida, in collaboration with IEEE Student Branch JSSUN, is organizing an insightful Technical Talk titled "Building Scalable Applications: What Startups Can Teach You."
This session is designed to provide participants, especially women in technology, with a deeper understanding of how startups approach the challenge of scalability—from handling millions of users to ensuring application performance and reliability. The talk aims to inspire and empower women engineers to pursue careers in software development and entrepreneurship by showcasing real-world applications of scalable system design.
The resource person, Mr. Ankit Pratap Singh, CEO & Co-Founder of Webshot, shared real-world experiences on building scalable software systems, leveraging distributed architectures, and optimizing infrastructure using cloud technologies.
Participants gained exposure to modern development practices, explored startup-driven innovation models, and learned strategies for designing efficient and robust backend systems. The talk helped students bridge theoretical computer science concepts with real-world applications in the startup ecosystem and encouraged women to pursue careers in software development and entrepreneurship.
