Tonsley Tour - Factory of the Future / Advanced Manufacturing Academy / Flinders Robotics Laboratory
Robotics and Manufacturing are significant areas of research and teaching at Flinders University. On this tour, you will see three areas where this teaching takes place.
Flinders' Factory of the Future works with small to medium enterprises to assist them to optimise the performance of their business by giving them access to the newest technologies and brightest minds. The tour will take us through the new factory building, built alongside the Tonsley Technical College.
The Advanced Manufacturing Academy teaches Flinders University students about Industry 4.0 and Advanced manufacturing technologies, preparing them for careers at the edge of modern manufacturing
The Robotics laboratory is a space used for teaching students about modern robotics and autonomy.
Touring these three laboratories will give you a vision of Flinders' developments in Robotics and modern manufacturing.
