Agenda

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mahendra Institute of Technology, organized a Two-Day
Workshop and Hands-on Training on “Next-Gen Biomedical Devices using Embedded Systems & IoT” on
23rd and 24th September 2025 at Sir C. V. Raman Hall.
The event began with a prayer song, followed by the welcome address delivered by Dr. M. Prabhu, Head
of the Department (BME).
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. T. Elango, Principal, Mahendra Institute of Technology. In
his address, he emphasized the importance of emerging technologies such as IoT and Embedded Systems
in transforming the field of Biomedical Engineering. He encouraged the students to utilize such workshops
to enhance their technical and research skills.
Following this, Mr. G. Selvendran, Assistant Professor (BME), introduced the Chief Guest, Er. Boopathi
Sakthivel, Founder & CEO of Prashan Medical Technologies, Coimbatore.
