Girls Explore STEM
In the United States, women make up half of the total U.S. college-educated workforce, but they only constitute 28% of the science and engineering workforce. This underrepresentation is not due to a lack of interest or capability but often due to societal and cultural barriers. Encouraging girls to participate in STEM activities from a young age can help bridge this gap, fostering a more diverse and inclusive future for these fields.
Join us for an electrifying adventure at our "Girls Explore STEM" event! In our electrical engineering session, we'll dive into the captivating world of electricity. Get hands-on experience generating power with a hand crank generator, build your very own electric bell, and even discover the remarkable potential of fruit batteries. We'll shed light on the incredible possibilities of solar energy generation and so much more. Unleash your curiosity and discover the dynamic field of electrical engineering in a fun and interactive way. Don't miss out on this empowering journey into STEM!
