The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Santhiram Engineering College (Autonomous), in association with the SREC IEEE Student Branch (STB17901) and IEEE Computer Society (SBC17901B), organized an alumni talk on “Microservices with Spring Boot – A Developer’s Toolkit” on 30th July 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. B. Manikanta Reddy, Software Development Engineer at Licious, Bangalore, and an esteemed alumnus of the department. The event aimed to provide students with practical insights into modern backend development using Spring Boot and microservices architecture, along with real-time industry perspectives from the speaker’s professional experience. HoD,Faculty of CSE Dept. and III CSE 240 Students are Participated in this event.

The session aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals and practical applications of microservices architecture using Spring Boot, a leading Java-based framework. With the rapid shift in the software industry toward modular and scalable solutions, the talk focused on helping students understand how microservices enable independent development and deployment of application components. The speaker also highlighted real-world use cases, deployment strategies, and the advantages of microservices over monolithic architecture, giving attendees a strong foundation to explore this modern development approach.
