This presentation will cover the operation and control of voltage source converters (VSC) interfacing renewable sources and connected through a communication network. A communication among the VSC would be extremely important for a reliable coordinated control of the micro sources. However, depending on the communication technology and communicated signal, the end to end delays and data loss varies. The operation and control of the VSC depends on the reference signal generations and if the reference signals are generated with a communicated measurement, the system performance depends on the limitation of the communication scheme.
