[Legacy Report] Two day workshop on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems(MEMS) Design

The Circuits and Systems Chapter of IEEE Hyderabad Section organised a two day workshop on MEMS Design on 20 and 21 June 2014. This workshop had lecture sessions in the morning by following
1. Prof. M. Satyam (IISc Bangalore, IIIT, Vasavi)- Introduction to MEMS
2. Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey (IIT Hyderabad)- Research Opportunities in MEMS.
3. Dr. Kriyang Shah(Redpine Signals) - MEMS based timing devices
4. Mr. Sripadaraja K. (Sridutt Technologies Bangalore) - Design of Cantilever, Capacitive sensor, RF Switch
In the Afternoon session,hands on lab practice on Intellisuite Software was given and each participant was allotted a system and given an opportunity to design a capacitive sensor and RF switch using Intellisuite software.
