Abstract:

Informatics has accelerated Life Sciences at a revolutionary speed and with a tremendous impact. Bioinformatics has widened its horizon into Medical Sciences, Forensic Science, DNA Profiling, Computational Intelligence, Clinical Research and Drug Discovery. Evidences from the crime scene, mixed DNA profiling data, Contamination issues, Handling and Transporting of evidences has always been a challenge to the forensic science laboratories and the crime investigation agencies.

In the Healthcare scenario, the speed by which the complexity of diseases and disorders are challenging the decisions and diagnosis of medical sciences is worrisome. Medical Informatics is an excellent path shower as far as decision-making is concerned in the field of medical sciences. This novel science of Medical Informatics is a boon to Health information management, Electronic Health records, Diagnosis, Evaluation of health information systems, Data mining in clinical Medicine, Clinical informatics Research.

In this context, this talk would discuss mostly about the emerging Research trends and contents from Computational Biology, Forensic Bioinformatics, Genetic Predisposition informatics and Medical Informatics.
