[Legacy Report] 4th SEC Meeting
3rd SEC meeting minutes reviewed and approved. Chapter Chairs and representatives made presentations a. Photonics Chapter arranged one lecture program in April. b. MTT/AP/EMC Chapter arranged a distinguished lecture program on 9th April. c. PES Chapter conducted one 2-day workshop successfully. d. COM-SOC India Congress was conducted successfully. e. It is confirmed that registration fee of US$200/-will be borne by section for three students. f. SAC Chair presented about the formation of five new SBs and re-initiation of 3 SBs. She also presented about the SN meet conducted on 26th April. SAC chair also presented the detailed plans on one-day Mentors and Branch counsellors meet which was approved by SEC.
SEC decided to buy video camera and memory cards for recording and storing the lecture programs with the permission of speaker. The conference proceedings were discussed a. Call for Paper of Prime Asia conference got clearance from Head Quarters. It would be released shortly. b. For online registration of conference, PES/IAS/PELS Chapter should take help of prime Asia conference organisers. c. IEEE MTT-S International Microwave & RF conference (IMaRC-2015), CFP is released and Venue booking confirmed. d. SEC approved the Technical co-sponsorship of Global Wireless Conference that is to be held during December 2015 at HICC Hyderabad.
It was proposed to conduct SAGM on Saturday, 27th June 2015. Expenditure and fund would be audited till 31st March 2015. Progress on FML could not be discusses as no concerned member was available. It has been observed that the attendance in SEC meeting remained poor. All members are once again requested to make it convenient to attend the SEC. It was proposed to explore the WebEx meeting formalities. Meeting through Skype also to be explored. This would facilitate the SEC members those who are travelling or outstation members to attend the meeting through Web. Newsletter Draft copy was presented by Arifuddin Sohel.
