[Legacy Report] IEEE REGION 10 SAC â€“ SAC CHAIRS, COUNSELORS AND MENTORS MEET - SAC Hyderabad Section

IEEE Hyderabad Section has taken its first step yet again in the year to host the 2015 IEEE Region 10 SAC – SAC Chairs, Counselors & Mentors Meet in along with Section Student Congress that happened on 4^th October 2015. The event has been held at Sir. C. V. Raman Auditorium, Hyderabad Central University campus. The ultimate goal is to motivate and engage the SAC Chairs, Counselors & Mentors of the Student Branches to come together to work collaborated and also to inculcate the spirit of volunteering among them. This meeting covered everything regarding the overview of the whole initiatives from Region 10 and also to maintain the spirit of volunteering in everyone.

Event has kick started exactly at the right time with an invocation by Vindhya, Student network member of IEEE Hyderabad Section. Opening remarks and welcome has been made by his Excellency Mr. Koduri Srinivas Rao, Chair – IEEE Hyderabad Section. Dr. M Lakshminarayana, Vice Chair – IEEE Hyderabad section has took the honor to introduce our Guest of Honor for the day Dr. Kannan Rajagopalan, a dynamic volunteer of IEEE Hyderabad section since its inception. Dr. Kannan enlightened the delegates with his inspirational talk about his journey in IEEE and passion towards working with like-minded people of the society.

Dr. M. Lakshminarayana also took an initiative to introduce our very own Dr. N.V Rao, Chief Guest for the day who has been the founding members of IEEE Hyderabad Section. Dr. N.V Rao enlightened the delegates about the importance of volunteering in IEEE and also selfless nature to be a part of global community with a co-working nature and also to nurture importance of the volunteering in IEEE.

After an immediate quick tea break, a session on leadership principles has been handled by Mr. Madhav Negi, Associate Director, Global PMO, Computer Science Corporation (CSC) India. Mr. Madhav has been attached with IEEE Hyderabad Section since 2007 and is also an active volunteer and played a key role in upliftment of student’s participation at various section level activities.

Immediately after this, due to lack of time, we had to run in to two immediate sessions at the given time slot provided. The details of the two sessions are:

2: Essential SB Operation Tools: by Dr.Y.Vijayalata, Vice Chair, WIE – IEEE India Council, SAC – IEEE Hyderabad Section.
