Last few years have seen unprecedented uptake of rooftop Photovoltaics systems in residential distribution systems. However, the resistive nature of the residential feeders limit the successful integration of higher levels of PVs. Several techniques such as reactive power capability of inverters and energy storage systems are being investigated to enable higher levels of PVs in the distribution systems. This seminar will throw some light on recent developments in this sector and explore opportunities for future research.
