Presentation on Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) previously known as TVSS. Presentation will cover the differences between SPDs and TVSS as well as current technology, proper applications, installation, and current codes applicable to SPDs.
Biography: James Moellmann is an Application Engineer on Surge Protection Business. James has been with Schneider Electric in the Surge Protection Business for 5 years with a primary focus of providing training to both internal and external Customers. He is an active member of the IEEE PES, SPD group; UL 1449 Standards Technical Panel; CSA Surge Standards Panel; NEMA 5VS Technical Committee , Vice Chair, and a US National Committee Member for IEC SC 37A. Prior to Schneider Electric, he spent 15 years as an Automation and Control engineer with Honeywell International in the Filtering Division.
