[Legacy Report] One-day mini-colloquium on "Recent Advances in Microwave Integrated Circuits Technology"
IEEE MTT-S SBC IIT Roorkee has organized an one-day mini-colloquium on "Recent Advances in Microwave Integrated Circuits Technology" on 8th April, 2016 in ECE Department of IIT Roorkee. Mini-colloquium enhanced the knowledge of participants about state-of-art in microwave and Sub-THz wave engineering and technology. There were four invited speakers from ECE Department of IIT Roorkee and each technical talk was of 90 minutes. First speaker was Prof. M. V. Kartikeyan, and he delivered his talk on "Recent Advances in millimeter/Sub-THz wave engineering: A close perspective". The second speaker was Dr. Amalendu Patnaik, and he delivered his talk on "Low-Cost solutions in microwave designing". Dr. A. Patnaik is the chair person of IEEE Roorkee subsection. Second speaker mainly emphasized on optimization techniques for designing multiband fractal antennas. Third speaker was Dr. Karun Rawat, and he delivered his talk on "Power and spectal efficiency enhancement in wireless transmitters". The fourth speaker was Dr. N. P. Pathak, and he delivered his talk on "Microwave circuits and systems: Multifunctional and Multiband capability". Dr. N. P. Pathak is the faculty advisor of IEEE MTT-S SBC IIT Roorkee. An impressive and respected audience of around 40 had attended the full day colloquium and there were informative interactions between speakers and audiences.
