The IEEE EDS Uttar Pradesh Section - Kanpur Chapter first meeting and inauguration ceremony is conducted on April 3, 2016 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. Meeting begin with the introductory lecture on benefits of IEEE and EDS membership in professional, technical, and personal development. The informative lecture is delivered by Chair of Executive Committee of IEEE EDS UP Chapter, Dr. Yogesh Singh Chauhan, Associate Professor,Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur, India.
Prof. S. Sundar Kumar Iyer, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur, Dr. Anshu Gaur, Department of Material Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur, Dr. Brijesh Kumar, GEU Dehradun, Now at Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur (UP) and Dr. Rekha Verma and Dr. Sitangshu Bhattacharya both from Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, IIIT Allahabad also presented their view on IEEE and EDS Chapter activities and formation of Executive Committee. These all the respected IEEE and EDS members are also suggested important point to promote and achieve mission objectives of IEEE and EDS chapter under the umbrella of IEEE EDS Uttar Pradesh Section - Kanpur Chapter.
Thereafter, members of Interim Executive Committee of IEEE EDS Uttar Pradesh Section - Kanpur Chapterwas elected by the IEEE and EDS members present in the meeting. The first meeting, inauguration ceremony functionand election of Executive Committee Members was attended by more than 50 (fifty) IEEE and EDS members from different institutions and universities.
The following members are elected as Executive Committeeto look after all the administrative and future technical activities of IEEE EDS Uttar Pradesh Section - Kanpur Chapter.
