Wireless Mesh Networks Concepts, Theory and Applications
In this technical talk, we shall take up the Challenges and Opportunities in Wireless Mesh Networks. Some essential concepts in the WMN technology will be over-viewed. Customization of protocols for wireless like for Transport agents etc will be introduced. Some research aspects like Channel Assignment problem will be introduced.
Biography:
Dr. Atul Negi, is presently working as Professor, at Department of
Computer and Information Sciences, AI Lab, University of
Hyderabad. Previously he has held the position of Director at
Indore India. He also has been a guest faculty at the International
Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad. He has more than
20 years of research and teaching experience. He has previously
worked as a Scientific Officer at the Department of Computer
Science and Automation at the Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore. Dr. Negi took his Doctorate from the University of
Hyderabad and his M.Sc(Engg.) from the Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore. He is a graduate with distinction in Electronics
and Communication Engineering from the Osmania University,
Hyderabad. He has research interests in Document Image
Analysis, Optical Character Recognition of Telugu Script, PCA and
its applications, Systems Security, and Mobile Adhoc Networks. He
has organized a number of workshops on Pattern Recognition and
its applications to OCR. He has been an invited speaker at various
corporate like CMC, Motorola, First Indian Corporation, etc. He has
served as Proceedings Editor and Track Chair (Computing Track)
for IEEE Indicon 2011, chaired sessions at various National and
International conferences in India and abroad. He is a reviewer for
the International Journals: Pattern Recognition, Pattern
Recognition Letters, Information Sciences, Image and Vision
computing etc. published by Elsevier Science Publishers,
Netherlands. Recieved "InspiringTeacher, 2010" Award from
Teachers Academy, Hyderabad India. He was invited to deliver the
KK Nair Memorial Lecture, IETE in June 2012.Dr. Negi has
successfully guided 3 Ph. D scholars and mentored several others.
Formally he has 7 other scholars under his guidance. He has
supervised more than 50 M.Tech project students. He was invited
by the School of Information Science at Addis Abba University as
an External Examiner of Masters program. Dr. Negi has more than
50 publications.
