The lecture presents the needs for software qualification within ESA. It will describe a technique to mitigate cost and enhance industrial competitiveness. The presented Time and Space Partitioning Method is inspired from integrated modular avionics. The lecture explains how the SAVOIR initiative harmonizes and improves the way to deliver avionics. This also helps to steer R&D to address indus- trial needs. The lecturer expands on how SAVOIR supports designing fault detection, isolation and recovery, all of them crucial elements to enhance spacecraft reliability.
